Volunteer Race Day

If you would like to help us out race day please email Dawn at volunteers@10mileroadrace.org . There are many positions available such as: barricades, start finish, water stations, medal presentations, and much more. No experience? We will provide you with training!


Water Station Coordinator

In charge of booking, gathering, and delivering the supplies needed for our two water stations that are located on the racecourse and the water table at the finish line. In partnership with the water station sponsor, you will schedule and train volunteers for the water stations. (Most are returning volunteers and are well seasoned)

 

Start & Finish Line Area Coordinator

Will work with the Race Director to ensure all items are delivered to the start/finish area for race day and ensure all personal is booked.
Greet and direct vendors and volunteers to the appropriate locations at the start/finish line. Ensure everyone has the items they need to perform their tasks at the start/finish line.

 

Volunteer Coordinator

Work with committee members and logistics coordinators to find out how many volunteers they need on race day.  This information will assist with placing new volunteers and assist with volunteer promotion.
Provide support to new race day volunteers. Support in the way of communication, placement, and training.
Assist with organizing and running the volunteer information night.

Assist with organizing and running the volunteer appreciation luncheon.

Committee Members and Coordinators that require volunteers recruit and organize their own volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator keeps everyone on track and makes sure volunteers feel supported with communication and placement.
